Ok guys I know I am new to this, so this maybe a silly question but here goes. I was cleaning my tank last night, nothing big just getting some algea off the inside of the glass. I have a flame scallop that was positioned in a crevice between the tank glass and some LR. He deceided he didnt like that spot and moved on. That was about 4 days ago, since he had moved he left these string things stuck to my glass which I can only assume is a method they use to help them stay put. No issues there, while I was scrubbing away at the glass I noticed a group of these white little dots on the glass. I thought it was part of the scallops residue. When I tried to scrub them off, they moved, and QUICKLY across the glass out of the way. These things are so small that I almost dismissed it as the current or my wake pushing them along the glass. I tried again slowly and, NO they MOVED, scurried is more like it. Does anyone know what this could be. I can try to get a picture but these things are TINY!! to compare them to something. I wouldnt be exagerating if I said they were smaller than a tiger pod. I have 15/20 vision and couldnt make them out. LOL. Thanks in advance.

see knew it was a dumb question. Or is it a dumb cluster of Copepods? I thought they liked LR not my aquarium glass.

They love aquarium glass, especially whenever you get lazy and don't clean it for a couple of days. They eat the algae growing on it.

Wow thats great news. I can only assume good things from hearing that. Although the water tests are always good you still like to see life flurish in your tank, it gives you a reasuring feeling that all is well inside your little underwater world. Unlike a fresh water tank (mine anyway) the only living things that are in there are what I physically put in and of course bacteria from my filter.
Every day I notce something different in my tank, the other day I noticed that a...or what I think is anyway, is a sea slug. He apparently hitched a ride on one of the corals I bought. Although he is literally about 3/16" long and barly 1/16" wide, he seems to make it all over the tank. I dont have much hope for him because he is sooo small but hes got these 2 little bulbs that stick up from what looks like is head, and he just chugs along the LR or glass. I hope he sticks around and becomes part of the tank family.
