Well, Im fairly new to saltwater, Ive had my tank up about 2 months and up until now have had NO problems (my freshwater tank had sooo many problems).
Its a relatively small tank, and I only have 5 pounds of live rock, a blue damsel, and within the last week I added a coral banded shrimp.
here is my question/problem. I have begun to notice that the damsel is losing a bit of its color, and turning more white. I had read somewhere (???) that this could be because of the salinity..however, it tests that it is perfect at 1.023. I tried a water change, rechecked the salinity, and even changed out the filter sponge. i dont know if this will work.
Anyone know what the common cause of this, is and how to fix the problem? Any help would be appreciated.
TY
