These are pictures of fish that did not make it throught the Tsunami. I thought these pictures might be of interest to some people.

Yeah these pictures are real, my brother emailed them to me. He's an engineer for GM and some of his co-workers are into saltwater tanks and sent the pictures to him.

:scared: YIKES!!!:scared:
Those are some freaky looking fish!
I find it kind of ironic that even fish were wiped out by the killer wave.
Unbelievable tragedy.

Damn those are some freaky looking fish,I like the angler and the eel pic, Those fish dwell in the deep part of the ocean that is terrible.

I can not see them here at work, but am willing to bet they are not from the tsunami. There is another place that this has already been posted about. It is a hoax.

22CADDY, I am curious as to why you think the pictures might be a hoax? Why would someone want to create a hoax for dead fish pictures? Makes no sense to me.

I have seen pictures of the fangtooth before or at least something very similar. I don't see why someone would be making this up. From what I understand, the tsunami's current when it begins pulls from very deep in the ocean and that momentum keeps building until it gets close to land. The wave is hardly noticable until it's close to land then it builds up very fast.

It has already been proven a hoax on Reef Central. The pictures are actually old. I know linking is strict around here so I'm not sure if this is ok. If not I will remove it. http://www.snopes.com/photos/tsunami/creature.asp

They are very cool pics of some crazy fish indeed. Saying they are from the tsunami though is inaccurate and kind of makes me mad. Someone took the time to do the studies and take the pictures of some deep sea life, and now everyone thinks it is just from the tsunami.

22CADDY, thanks for the correction, but what I am confused about is how does someone know whether or not they are from a New Zealand expedition. I am just trying to play devils advocate. I had no intention of misleading people if in fact they are not from the Tsunami.
