I just spent $18 so my fish can get fat

I just ordered a clean up crew for my tank, and alas my skunkback psuedochromis has eaten three of them. All the research Ive done on him suggests that he doesn't eat shrimp....but I guess this was wrong. Anyone ever have their fist eat all their shrimp???? Its very fustrating, and hes very fat (i hope he doesnt get sick or something), I wish I could catch him and give him a time out. Any suggestions????:notsure:

From what I've read, it is common for a pseudochromis to prey on ornamental shrimp and small inverts. And since yours apparently has a taste for them, you can either get rid of the fish or don't get any more shrimp.

I suspect my former pseudo killed at least 3 large cleaner shrimp before I finally caught him doing it.

Yes, they do eat shrimp. Mine decided one day a few weeks ago to turn on his buddy of over a year, a skunk cleaner shrimp. By the time I realized what was happening it was to late.

my bicolor dottyback even attacked a cbs but dottyback had a big scar on her face before i took it out. Glad cbs had claws :yes:
