I LOST MY EYE!!!!!

You'll never guess what happend to the sohol tang I was going to buy. Last friday I told my LFS to put a sold tag on this sohol tang and I would pick him up next week. I went up today to get him and he wasn't there. Earlier that day they put in a clown trigger and he ripped an eye off of him. He was still alive, but they killed him. That made me soooo maddd!!!. He was the most beautiful sohol I had seen. The thing that makes me mad is that the owner who put him in there new that fish had a history of doing that to other fish. That clown trigger had done that of several other yellow tangs and others. TJ

This is how they disable thier prey.By first taking out the eyes,the trigger has a better chance of killing the other fish without a fight or ingery to itself. Kinda cruel,but very smart.If infection didn't set in the tang had a very good chance of survival.Too bad he didn't call you before he killed it.STEVE

!!LOL!! That's kinda funny, but this is the first mistake he has ever made w/ me. Which it's not really his fault. What were the odds that the fish was going to do that to my fish. But if I was the owner I would have put that trigger in w/ fish that weren't sold. Another Q for you guys. Do you think I could add a powder blue and sohol at the same time? I really want both, but I also don't want to push it. All my water reading are great including my nitrates are like 0-5. I know powder blues are kinda touchy, but I think I would take home some copper. I talked to him about it and he said he keeps his copper levels at .3 and any fish is fine is copper as long as it isn't long term(4 months). The sohol would probably be bigger than the PB, PB is only like 3 inches. TJ

That angers me also!!!
My LFS had the most incredible queen angel!
A fish I would never buy because of how hard they are to keep, but this guy was georgous!!
Anyway, the idiots threw a huge puffer in with him, and the next time I visited them, he was missing an eye! He was dead shortly after...
these people have 1000 tanks in the store and they can't use a little more common sense?
