I need a miracle...a pink one.

I have a question. This was possibly the weirdest thing that has EVER happened in my life. I was at school today in Animal Science class. We were getting ready to write reasons for judging pigs. Something I HATE doing. I thought to myself, "I need a miracle to get out of this." As I finished the thought I heard a dripping sound. I look over and see that there are a few drops on the ground just a foot or two from my desk. I think, great the ceiling is leaking...then I notice that they are pink. It dripped two more drops and then busted out in what can only be described as a rainstorm. So I move obviously. The teachers started freaking out and putting trash cans under it and what not, but it barely did anything since the storm was too big. This is about 20 minutes until I eat lunch btw. So they just let it rain and the janitors got their vacuum thingies and cleaned up the stuff on the floor. Now, this stuff reminded me of the smell of antifreeze. I know that antifreeze comes in pink, but I've only ever really used the blue stuff. So we just hung out in the back of room and talked (and took pictures with our cell phones) until the bell rang. I was surprised that the storm lasted every bit of that 20 minutes and didn't let up at all.
So my question is...
What was this stuff?
Why was it leaking?
Was this a miracle? That's what it sure felt like.

haha, you stop class just for a little leak? at my school, you can barely use your desk without getting your papers soaked. and there are 3 computers covered with trash bags in the keyboarding room.
not sure the pink stuff was, but yeah, anyways...

It was insane! It was more than a leak! It coudn't be quick fixed by putting a trash can underneath...even a big one. And the stuff burned when you touched it.

Have you gotten your eyes checked recently or antifreeze changed?
The traditional antifreeze is green (most imports, ford). And the other stuff is Dex-Cool, which is used in GM's.
We have to stop and go back though. You were judging pigs in class???
If so, why do you hate it?

its the secret ingredient that the government adds to your drink to brainwash you into being an obamite...
it was leaking because it was over concentrated...
no its was happenstance... there will be men in black suits visiting you soon to erase your memory of this...

I enjoyed judging bovine in class, I think I was better at it than the teacher...but judging and placing swine is hard for me...and it's worth quite a few points. Plus we have to look at certain parts of the pigs...and that's just not my kinky nature.

could have been...
as the rain seaped through the layers, it picked up some rust along the way.
or iron.
residual mold spores from the last time it rained.
or just simply pink rain... That would be so cool! It would messed the (artist previously known as) Prince, all up, lol

OK, ya ready... I didn't wanna tell you, but I will...
Your teacher is storing their dirty magazines up there and the rain simply bled out some of the ink.
It's true...go check!

That was the purpose of posting this thread...it's to inform others and make it harder for these men to erase all of the evidence. I'm glad someone was smart enough to pick up on this.

You have no idea how funny that is...you would have to know the teacher.

To make you feel better...
antifreeze comes in nearly a dozen colors including your pink and blue.
they also include yellow, orange, 3 shades of green, red and the G05 is nearly clear. There is a G-12 which is purple.

I doubt that automotive coolant was draining from your ceiling. It was likely leaching out of building materials between the ceiling and the roof.
Still a miracle, but not antifreeze.

Actually it could have been automotive coolant. My shop at work has heated floors and heated ceilings and a pump, pumps the coolant through a broiler and through the lines in the floor or ceiling. Its a very effective way heating a large building like my work shop.

Not the best picture, but obviously I didn't have my good camera at the time. Turns out it was antifreeze...and I get to come home and find out why there was antifreeze in the ceiling, thanks hilius. But now I have to wonder...why did it burst? What would cause that? The school is soooo not warm in the winter. It's rare to find someone not wearing a sweatshirt in the winter. So I don't think it works to well lol.

Was there any snow recently? Snow gets incredibly heavy and maybe some genius maintanance guy had the brilliant idea on how to keep it from accumulating.
I don't see heated ceilings in a roof that leaks. One says modern, one says delapidated.

heating system antifreeze is pink.
your heating lines may have sprung a leak if they are run by water...

Yeah, the maintanence people aren't that smart, and I say that for more than one reason. They try to conserve energy like CRAZY. TWO times some genius decided to shut the heat off from the upper floor during a long break...both times a pipe bursted and considerable damage was done. Most people don't know about this, but my dad works for a company that does fire and flood restoration, so I do. They sure are saving money by shutting the heat off
...
So Tizzo...I bet you're right.
