I need advice on an auto top off switch:

Im sure several of you are familiar witht em so which one is more reliable?

well i used the first one and it works great! cause all i did was use egg crate to hold it. i saw the other one needs to be horizontal.
heres mine

but the downsize is the snails when they get on it they make it go down which turn on the stupid switch!

mine will be in the sump itself. the return chamber.
thanks. ill order a pair. a primary. then an emergency just a few inches higher in case one fails.
