I Need Help In A Hurry!!!!

I have recently noticed that my percula has little white spots on it. From reading, I think it may be the dreaded ick. I don't have a QT yet, but should I get one? Also, I have a tang, bicolor blenny, and a snowflake. Should all of them go into the QT tank, or will the eel be ok in the regular tank. Once they are in the QT, what do I treat the ick with? I need to also mention that I have a reef tank setup. Thanks for the help.

It depends on what is in your main tank as to whether you can treat all the fish there or not.
In order to treat in the main tank, the tank must be FO...meaning no Live Sand, Live Rock or any type of inverts. I'd recommend hyposalinity to treat ick, which you can do just fine with in the main tank as long as it meets the FO criteria.
Yes it is a good idea to get a separate hospital tank, and use it as a quarantine tank for newly purchased fish so that you don't introduce disease carrying fish directly into your main tank---which is what you have apparently done here.
The hospital tank can be simple. No substrate, no lighting unless you want it, no live rocks. You can use PVC or fake coral rocks for the hospital. The size of the aquarium should be big enough to accommodate all your fish.

I have a reef tank with corals and inverts. So I probably need to get the fish out of my main tank. Once the fish are in the QT, how should I treat the ick?

I understand to do a hypo,(lower salinity in QT to 1.009) but how do I lower the salinity that much in 48 hours. I know this is probably a dumb question, but I am still a newbie. Thanks for your help TerryB and Beth

I know I asked this before, but I didn't get an answer. Do I need to remove my snowflake also?
