I Need Help!

Feeling disappointed and sad.
I received my order from SWF.com on tuesday (1)small frogfish, (1)small lionfish, (1) small blenny, and (10) astrea snails. Everything arrived alive, drip acclimated my specimens for three hours. Feed my damsels in the tank and shut off the lights in DT. The frog found a spot behind the rockwork and stayed there, the blenny hid too. The lion however hid for a short time then began to swim around the tank. Wednesday morning the lion was dead with its mouth wide open, (6) of the snails were dead because to this day they are still where I placed them, not moving, I would assume they are dead too. Blenny disappeared I haven't seen him, I think Mr. Froggie might have ate him. Not a good week!

Did you notice any harassment by the damsels? New, small lions need a lot of "quiet Time". You may be right about the frogfish, like other "gulpers", they can handle a very big mouthful.I'm sorry for your disappointment; I've always had great success buying online.(I've never bought snails online and really know very little about inverts; but seem to read a lot about problems with snails--unlike fish) I sure can't point to anything wrong at your end; and it would be very unlike Fed-Ex to mishandle the shipment. If its any consolation; they really do honor their guarantee.

Thanks srfisher17 for the reply. No the damsels were swiming to the top portion of the tank and left the lion alone. My friend just mentioned maybe the lion died after swallowing the blenny? I looked in its mouth but there is nothing there. Should I try again but with a larger size specemen?

As long as your water is testing in good peramiters I would try again . YOu definatly want to figure out if the snails are dead or not and remove them if they are .
