I need ideas for a control/switch board of some kind.

Id like to run all my power and cords outside and away from inside the tank. Personally Id like to make a switch board that will allow me to flip individual components of the system on/off.
Am I better off trying to buy something pre-made? if so what are some key words to Google?

American DJ power strip
. Standard of the hobby.
You also can look into computer surplus stores have switchable power strips, but they wouldn't be as high amp rated as the DJ gear....

How many amp strip would I be looking at to run a mag 1800,skimmer w/2 pumps, calcium reactor w/2 pumps,2x 65w lights, and a couple power heads? I can run the MH lighting system separately I suppose. The house is wired for 20amp.
And is it cool to use audio equipment? I mean does the gear get corrosion next to a Saltwater tank?

I would look at the power supply to your place real close. If all you have is 20 amp supply, then you need to do some wiring.
Oh, you need to be a little more specific about the pumps and all the stuff you want to run. "Pumps" doesn't tell us how many watts they draw. With out total wattage and or knowing the amp draw of other pieces of equipment then you can't figure out how much power you will need.

The switch board goes from 15-50(for the welder).
All the outlets are wired for 20.W/GFI, a good thing since its a concrete floor. There is also a grounding wire That leads outside and 10ft down into the ground
that I cant tap into from any of the outlets. Not sure how I can ground my tank. But it is somethign I want to learn more about.
I'm going to order one of these American DJ power strips. If I like...Ill get a second one^^

I never seen them at Best Buy. I went all over the place looking for the American DJ and the only place I found it was at Sam Ash. Dont know if you have any near by but I know they sell them.
