I would offer 600 being it is only the tank and stand. Looks like you will need to buy everything to make it run.

There's better deals to be had out there. Most used 125g tank/stand deals I've seen go for less than $500 and include more than a tank and stand. This tank appears to be acrylic, and the stand looks decent, but I would still shop around some to find a better deal.

I agree with robchuck,
glasscages dot com has an acrylic 125 for 300 and 2 different styles of glass 150's for 345. If you live near a major city the shipping is only 50 bucks!!
A stand runs for less than 200.
He prolly did pay 1600 for it, but he obviously didn'y shop online.
and you can check tenecor dot com. :)

So it's just the tank n stand. I could get a better price , more like $500 new at my lfs.

I guess for $1000 he'll give me the stand/tank,eco filter ... the filter is worth $700 new
tank/stand cost him $1600
the tank has a scratch in it, which im scared of
heres a picture
do you guys think the scratchs can be removed?

I don't know. . . :notsure: Doesn't seem like that sweet of a deal to me.
Where i got all my stuff (Pet World) they sell stuff pretty cheap. I have my eye on a 180 gal that they sell for only 500. The stand would then be 400-450 is my guess. BUT!
When i bought my 72 and a bunch of other stuff they gave me half off the stand like it wasn't anything. So if you have any around you i bet you could get a brand new 180 and stand for 700 if you really wanted to go that big. . But i'm just sayin. ..

If the tank is built of acrylic, which it appears to be, the scratch can be removed (as long as it's not too deep).

Well it is acrylic with a built in overflow.
Which are pretty expensive atleast by me.
If you want an acrylic tank over glass i say go for it.
Otherwise you can get a new glass setup for around the same price.
The stand looks good. And the canopy is a plus.
Knock atleast a 100 off for that scratch, also ask if he made anymore when he took everything out.
What kind of filter is it?
Wetdry?
All i can find is some tube filter by eco.
Also couldn't hurt to call some places and see what a 125 acrylic costs in your area,

Ok i believe eco stands for a refugium .
300 for a used refugium is alot.
A pic would be better to tell how much its worth.
Is that with a return pump?
Refugiums can be made from a regular fish tank.

Keep shopping. Doesn't sound like a good deal. Maybe 3 or 4 hundred and then you could think about it.
