I need some ideas for my 29 gallon

I would like to see some of your 29 gallon aquariums. Please share and in the future when I get mine up and running I will also share. I just have a bare tank right now land it is getting old. Just buying little here and a little there. Also, for a clean up crew is it best to try to keep as much sand open as I can or do they venture up tne rocks and glass?

Thank you all I have gotten some great ideas. I really like the caves and also way that you all have stacked your rocks. Thanks again. To any one else who has a great looking aquarium and more ideas at this size please share with the rest of us. Thanks again for the great ideas. Do you all have a refugium? I just got a hang on the back for when I set my tank up. Im going to put live base rock and live sand in it also. any suggestions for this?

My 29 sucks, but I'll post a pic anyway.
My best advice is definitely stay with small fish. It sounds so basic, but seriously, the more fish you have the better your aquarium looks, IMO. Why have 3 three-inch fish when you can have like 5 or 6 two-inch fish? Besides, some of the smallest ones are the coolest ones, like clown gobies!! :D

Everyone goes at their own speed. As long as you are receiving the therapeutic benefits of the tank, that's all that matters.

Here's a pic of mine. No fish yet, just (very lazy) snails and hermits. You can see the snails all lined up at the top of the tank; they stay there all the time and don't clean my tank! Buggers!

What kind of rock do you have in your tank? Where did you get it? I would like to make mine look like it is stuffed with rock but still have plenty of room for the fish to swim. Hey you mentioned some thng about a clown goby or something. What else would you suggest? I would also like to see some pictures of some fish/inverts that every one has. Thanks to those that are already posted I have decided that I am going to get some of the corals that they have. Pondy

I got most of my rocks from a store. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best way to buy rocks. This way you can select exactly what you want! Look around for fish stores in your area. If you lived in NYC I could suggest a great one in Manhattan!

the question is by going to a lfs do you get a good price on rock? I have a lfs near my house that sells it for 5.99 a lb, not great but i can get fiji rock on an auction site for 2.00 a lb. so you have to weigh the options. the order away stuff looks much healthier than the fish store rock.

Wax32: What kind of light bulbs do you use??
About the rock: I would still say it's better to buy from the store, even if it's more expensive. You can select the rocks yourself! You can't do that any other way; the photos you see on-line are great, but will you get what you see in the photo?? :thinking:
