Mine is running a 20k Raium HQI bulb. The camera and the blue tint of the bulb make the pics look dark. Not really dark in person. There is probably some camera setting that I could use to get it more true to brightness but not a photographer and just do the best that I can.
Check out my thread for other pics.

I have a feeling this thread is gonna depress me...
If only there were a thread to show off hair algae, then I'd get a standing ovation. BUT seeing how it isn't, I take a seat on the bench too.

I'm not good at all w/ this stuff, so don't quote me, but I think it may be a clam that you're talking about... The bluish purple thing?

why does your tank look so dark? do you see the diff from my pic to yours?
your pic is over exposed. the sand, leather far right and top right are dead give aways. if the details are whitened out by brightness that you can see in person the exposure time needs to be shorter. 20k bulb also has alot to do with why it (and mine) look dark. to expose a pic to accurately depict the brightness would wash out all the details. I never have this problem with whiter spectrum bulbs. 20k bulb pics never look as bright or white as they really are (I believe thats the main reason people assume 20k bulbs are too blue and dim without seeing them in person). I've come to assume every tank with 20k bulbs are whiter and brighter than they look in pictures.

Red and green Cap... that’s all nothing great...
if they have room to grow out they will... they will grow up most of the time... both of them are about 10" across...
