I have a three inch marron clown who does not host. I have read so many articles and threads about how agressive maroons are. My tank is 100g. I bought a smaller seabae clown fish, its about half the size of the marron. I put the seabae in a net, hung it on the side of the tank for a day above where the marron hangs out. After a day I put the seabae at the other side of the tank. He swam for the purple tip anemone and has been in the tank for a week the maroon has not bugged him once.

How old is the marroon?? If you get so lucky that the maroon finds a host or even a hole of it's own then they may stay out of each others way. They will never "get along", nor will they pair, but they may tolerate each other...
4 years here... But the oci is definately submissive upon confrontation...

The maroon has been in the tank for over two years. I think he is two or three years old. I will keep updates on what is happening. Worst case I will take the Seabae out.

They don't turn gold.
There are maroon clownfish that have white stripes and some that have gold stripes.

Fish are doing great.. The marron has not even hinted at chasing the seabay. I had to move the anemone crab who lived in the anemone the seabay decided to host. The seabay kept pushing him off the top. I put the crab on a bubble tip he is happy now. This is a picture of the seabay
