I have these things on my live rock and in my substrate. They kind of look like mini brittle star arms but the expand and retract. They usually come out at night. I have video footage of one in my refug. It is not the best quality because I do not scape the glass in there. I can not find anything about these.
Even if you have seen them and do not know what they are please reply to this. These things are driving me insane!!! I hope this link is okay. Its just my video.

I don't think so. I have those as well and I can easily ID them. These look almost exactly like a mini brittle star arm, even down to the little 'hairs'.

Where they come out of a piece of LR it doesn't look like there is any room for the rest of it. I am hoping they are Brittles.

I saw one at the fish store and the guy who works there did not even know what they were and he is quite knowledgeable.
