I hope you write papers better then you currently write in the forums.
Cryptic Sponges
Tidal zones
Macroalgae uses in aquaria, lighting, flow rates and nutrient uptakes
Zooplankton culturing for home aquaria
What kelvin rating and PAR intensity produce better SPS growth
Disease information and prevention for uncommon home aquaria
Discussion of the different and varying types of microfauna in shallow, deep and really deep sand beds and their benefits and detriments to home aquaria.
A good write up on uncommon fishes in saltwater aquaria, their care, disease and treatment information with first hand experience would be good.
Mangroves and their nutrient uptake in home aquaria, benefits and detriments
There's a ton of stuff you could write on, but do you have any first hand experience or accurate testing equipment, microscopes, flow meters, lux meters etc? Or would it be all second hand research?

Keeping a journal of your fish tank from the conception on would make an awesome paper to write on.
The time it takes to cycle, the adding of that first fish, how well it did or didn't do. They way it acts when another fish was introduced. All the tiny weird critters you discover on the rocks.
Even the things you did to correct a problem or added to prevent a problem..the things you can write about are endles with your own SW fish tank.
