so i was looking around online and found the pico tope 3 gallon tank for $37
with a PC light and a filter
but i also found the deco 3 kit for $39
no i hear the filters are lame on both of these tanks but could i just replace the filter pad with live rock rubble??
i also know it will require regular water changes
so please dont hound me over that
so for livestock i was thinking
assorted zoo corals and some shrooms
sexy shrimp
1 hermit crab
1 bumble bee snail or 2
anything else you would reccomend in the tank??
please reply with any feedback

The JBJ pico is made of glass which is nice, but it has weaker lights than the Decokits. I've got a deco and the stupid plastic scratches every time I look at it.
I tossed rubble in the filter and it seems to be doing fine. Your inhabitants are pretty good choices, although the bumblebee snails arn't really reef safe and will eat all the critters in your sand bed.

great thanks
i ordered the picotope
i figured a slight plus in filtration and a few less watts was okay

13" 24w unit by Odyssea. It has a slight overhang but its worth it. I think I got it from aquatraders.com. I am actually taking this tank down though to make room for my bc14.

AC30 but if i could do it again I would have gone with an ac50 and an impeller from a 20.
