I think my anemone killed 2 of my fish :o(

I purchased a long tip anemone yesterday from my LFS and when I came home today my yellow tail damsel was on its side, mostly with blacked sides and white markings around its tail and my Flame hawkfish is breathing heavy and will not move. I put those two in my QT tank and a few minutes late the damsel died. The hawkfish is more white then the red that it normally is.
Is this the result of my anemone? I got it because they said I had a good chance of my Clown hosting it, and he is the only fish staying away! The other damsel keeps swimming near it and taps the tips with his tail. WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!

When I first started out in saltwater, I had a hawkfish and when I put the anenome in the tank for my clown to host, the exact same thing happened. The hawkfish kept touching it when it would swim by it. It showed white lines down its back to its fin, he lost his color and then soon died. It was weird b/c it didn't look like he was touching the anenome but that's what I assumed.
I am not sure if this is the same thing happening in your tank but that was my experience with hawkfish and anenomes.
I hope you figure out soon
