I think something ate my scooter

Here is a wierd one. I am missing one of my two scooters. The only two culprits could be the bubble tip anemone or my huge black brittle star. The star has legs that are about 8 inches long a piece. Its body is about the size of a silver dollar. Do these things attack fish???? The bubble really is not that big, big enough to try to get the scooter but i think i would have noticed the buldge that would have come by it. My main concern is the star though. Any takers??

Not sure abut the anemone, but I have a brittle that has "legs" over a foot long at this point, and I've seen my shrimp climbing on them and he doesn't try to snag them, let alone any of the fish. On the other hand, if your blenny died from some other cause (stung by the bubble tip?) then I expect the star or even hermits dragged the remains back into the rock for an extended buffet.
