Poke around on the boards here for a while, specifically in the Photography section(s) and you'll see some much better pics.

Specifically, look for threads by murph145.

No, if you look at the later pages, the tank in the link really starts to develop quite nicely. Page 14 has some very nice shots.

I would still do a FOWLR....I have both and find that I am in front of the FOWLR more often.
With a reef tank you are so limited on what you can put in there....in a FOWLR anything goes and if it doesn't you get to see someone get eaten!

Although quite impressive,i agree with you.Would rather have a variety of colorful swimming fish, than colorful stationary corals. JMO,but still impressed with what the guy has done!

I'm not totally on the dark side yet.haha don't have enough money for that at this time.
maybe next summer once i get the FOWLR tank running stable(haven't even put water in it yet.haha) i'll start a reef tank.

if your going to eventually turn it into a reef why not get the fish you want for it that will be in your reef? (not sure if that was what you were going to do, but i think it would be easier than trying to catch whatever you put in there if it isnt reef safe.)
