No it doesn not have too be built in, you can buy hang on's. Overflow are too bring water from your tank, too bring them down too the filters, sumps, fuge's skimmers. Then the water come back up too the tank by a pump.

I am not sure about exactly what size my tank is.
it is about
48 x 26 x 28
I had this tank for over a year and water came from
my 90 gallon.. my asfur and blue face are about
8 or 9 month old.. purple tang is 2 year old
Emperor is 3 month old.. and blue tang is 2 month old
Blue Tang 7"
Emperor 6"
BlueFace 5.5"
Purple Tang 4"
Asfur 4"

Any problems with the angels fighting or anything?

You have all these fish in a 150 gal tank. I'm suprised you haven't had any problems yet with them fighting. Good luck.
