Its actually not at permanent as you think. I tried it on a 10 gal before I did it on my 55gal. You can actually take a clean new razor blade and scrape off most of the paint and then take paint thinner to remove the rest. I used rustolem glossy black enamel paint. its really hard to scratch. I tried scratching it with a number of items and the only thing that could scratch it was a razorblade.I don't have any pics yet but I'll get some up soon.
