irishsalt....
yeah in the 2 years ive been in this hobby he was one of my first purchases from the LFS when i didnt know a thing about reef tanks all i knew was i wanted cool fish and eels....
the reason i got him was because he was the only kind like him that i seen.... i mean yeah i saw snowflake eels other colored ribbon eels some bi morays but i wanted something safe to be with other smaller fish and the lady at my LFS recommended him to me so i bought him for $15 hes basically grown 5X's bigger since then but hes still a great eel very active and fun to watch.....
since then i have only seen a white ribbon eel one other time at the 2 LFS's i go to out here where i live..... its a very cool animal and id reccomend it to anyone looking for a hardy nice eel.....
ill see if i can get a full pic later on when i feed him....
:D

I got one too...I LOVE HIM! I had my LFS do a special order for me...and when people saw it, they wanted it...so he has ordered about 4 more since! they are awesome...I paid a little more for mine 35$ but he is well worth it! the species name is Uropterygius concolor if you wanted to try and order one...they are actually a snake moray but look like a ribbon eel...awesome fish well worth the $$

yeah they are an actual moray not a ribbon but they are just called that cuz of there thin body and there lengthyness sp?...
but all in all a very nice eel
