i want a camera

i want a camera so i can take pics of my fish tank and other stuff. only thing is i dont know anything about cameras. i really just want one for everyday use nothing to fancy but nothing that is goin to give me chezzy pics. i would like to spend about 250 anyone have any idea of a camera i can get for around that price that will work for me?

I'm not sure on specific cameras, but I do recommend that you get one with at least 4.0+ megapixels. Anthing less is outdated. Heck, I might be showing my age by recommending 4.0 lol.
Also, do a google search for stuff like "digital photography tips" and stuff like that. You should do at least 2 hours of research for every purchase. That always results in smart buying

actually, i love my 3megapixel cam. minolta dimage z1, pretty cheap on auctionsites. i love the zoom capabilities and the picture is pretty much perfect on my 19"crt. i figure if it's good on that, then it's good on a 3x5 or 5x7 picture. great older digital camera for a really decent price. it is a bit bigger than the newer pocket stuff, but i wanted better pictures. minolta delivers.

these pictures were taken with my old camera. Which was Kodak easyshare cx7330, which is a 3.1 mega pixel, but takes darn good pictures. I believe they cost about 150.00 now.
