I wan't a shark

I wan't a Bannded Reef Shark. What size tank should I have him or her in? I heard that sharks are really hard to keep in a home aquarium, is this true? Also what kind of filtration would you reccommend? A skimmer, how many GPH, sand, liverock? Also what type of food should I feed it? I have a red lionfish and I feed him black mollies is this ok or does he need someother type of food? He will take some frozen brineshimp, but not alot.

I assume you mean bamboo shark. I have one and it's extremly easly to keep. As for tank size go for 180 gallons minimum. I have over 200 pounds of ls in my tank as well as 10-20 pounds of lr. You'll need a good skimmer and wet/dry filter. My tank(180g) has a Berlin skimmer, wet/dry trickle filter, and 2 magnum 350 canisters. Sharks should be feed fresh or frozen seafood(shrimp, silversides, krill, etc), never freshwater fish.

everything above is right, but the name is a brownbanded bamboo shark. There are all types of bamboos.

Cool I think I will go with a 240 Gallon tank with 300 lbs. of sand. thanx for all the info.
