I was thinking of adding 3 blue devil damsels to my main tank, I have a 55 with a SFE, YT, red corris wrasse, and a Humu humu. I was wondering want you all think of adding 3 blue devils to add some extra color and activity. I just think it will look more natural with the damsels, plus I have always liked them. I don't imagine they would be dumb enough to go after anything in there, what do you all think yay or nay?

Just added 10 to my 240g with a Yellow Tang, SFE, Rec Coris Wrasse, Etc...
And don't regret it a bit. Just be 100% how many you want and add them all at one as they weill destroy any new addition damsels you try to add later.

I assume all your fish are small. IMO, you are overstocked now. Tangs don't do well in a 55 and the Huma will get very nasty as he grows (can reach 10") and lacks space. A red coris can grow to over a foot (rarely that big in captivity) and a 55 is way to small. Not trying to be so negative; but I'd really research fish before buying. IMO; this fish you have now should be kept in nothing smaller than a 125, 6' tank

I have a 100G already that they will be going into in the next couple monthes. I have been told Humu Humu and Red Corris both grow very slowly and the red corris rarely gets bigger than 8inches.I didn't think 3 little damsels would add much bioload, I haven't seen any aggression issues, water quality is good(0,0,5-10,8.3) otherwise I wouldn't consider adding the damsels, the well being of my fish is paramout

They should do well in the 100; damsels are IMO, great little fish to add the flash you're looking for, in spite of being the meanest little fish (ounce for ounce) in the hobby. A group of 5-7 damsels are good "dither" fish; they spend so much time chasing each other that they leave other fish alone, usually) You've chosen a good group for the 100 gal, IMO.

with larger fish damsels are not a problem they tend to beat on each other and smaller fish. Damsels do well in a large tank, even in a reef setting as long as they have their own space.
