I am looking to add some polyps to my aquarium. It's been up and running for a month, and i probably won't add the polyps for another month or so. my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all zero. i am looking to upgrade my lighting, it's flourescent 11 watt lamp. i have 9 pounds of live rock that is full of holes and crevices. what kind of requirements do polyps have? any information i can get on caring for them would be greatly appreciated.

you will have to get better lighting t-5 or metal halides would be the best investment if you can afford it. if not compact flourescents are also good. good luck

my hood will only allow smaller lamps... i found a mini compact power incandescent, will that be enough lighting? i found one called Coralife Mini Compact Colormax Lamp 10 W. and another called Coralife Mini Power Compact 50/50 Lamp- 10 Watt. would either of those be enough lighting? the MH lights are a little out of my price range at the moment. i was thinking of getting a green fluorescent mushroom for my aquarium. it would be the only one for a long time. my lighting would be medium and my water flow is about medium right now.
