I want to redo my rock work..any suggestions?

There is a picture of my 46 gallon bow. It is too plain and I can't think of how to do my rock work. I was thinking pulling some of the rock to almost touching the front of the glass in the middle and then having a wall along the back with caves. Just so I can see everything from all sides...I know it might be asking for too much, but I would like any suggestions, and if I like your idea. I will do it and show you how it turned out..

Aquascaping has to be one of the most perplexing tasks in this hobby; there is no "right" answer beyond the basic requirements for caves and such.
I personally like varying heights, tall here, low there and there. A little front to back action, as you mentioned would be pleasing to look at from the sides
Perhaps you could make a simple sketch of your tank |_| and draw random "skylines" until you find one that is pleasing to your eye.
Good Luck! You have a lot of rock with differing sizes, you have many options.

I build my rock in the center so a mag float can get past, front, back, and sides. As an added plus my tang has twice the swim room and doesn’t “pace” back and forth. She can swim around the tank and through the caves and crevices. Most people build all the rock in the back to force all the fish forward, it isn’t necessary. They behave more naturally and not as stressed. My .02

start low in the middle of the tank and make a steady ramp all the way up one side and leave the other side empty but try to still leave caves for hiding spots for the fish i seen it and it looked pretty cool i wanted to do it in my 125 but have way to much rock for that just a suggestion

its basicly a puzzle what you have to find the right pieces to fit with what looks right for you, but caves ect are important. but mostlikley you will see it all comes together like moving into a new house or rearangeing your room as a kid,, LOL. and you might find yourself going to the LFS to find the differnt pieces.
