I want to start up a 40 gallon!!!

What all am i going to need? Im thinking about a fluval filter but anything else i should buy? What size heater im thinking a 200 watt. How much sand am i going to need? Im thinking 2 powerheads.

You will need a protein skimmer and 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. of LR per gallon. I think the LS ration is 1 pound per gallon. A heater box should tell you how many watts you need for a 40 gallon tank.

just to make sure i hope you know about cycling your tank
that is the most important thing to do or the fish will die and if your a begginer you should know some of the prices for supplies and setting it up :happyfish
