I was thinking today.

I still can't believe they let non-whites even vote in the first place! Let alone having an ID...
(Yes, that was sarcasm)
While it was meant as sarcasm. This is exactly what I mean. Only people of means have the ability to gain the proper identification to purchase these items.

Gonna be hard to get that one to pass IMO, now that all of these states have addopted the stop and identify yourself law. If you don't carry I.d. around with you it has been deemed constitutional for you to be detained until proof of identification can be proven if the police have reason to suspect you might be connected to a crime.

Which is also racist and disenfranchising to many ethnicity and age groups. And a violation of the constitution under Privacy laws. The police have no right to know who I am just because I am walking on the street.

Yeah, if we look hard enough we can find discrimination in just about everything.

Agree, it may not be right. But it's happening. And I think I may be wrong. Under these new laws you don't have to be suspected of a crime to be asked. It is a crime not to present I.d. when asked by law enforcement.
Surprisingly enough, Texas isn't on that list yet.

There are a lot of You Tube videos on this. I didnt think you were required to provide them with ID unless they acuse you of a violation. The cops have far to much authority today since they know they cannot be sued as individuals for malpractice, are rarely sued as a dept and are promoted based on the # of arrests they make, the camera is leveling the playing field although many dont like being filmed one has the constitutional right to do so. The police seem to have forgot who they work for.

No Texas just requires you to show an ID to vote. Nice little move by the Republicans to disenfranchise those individuals who have a hard time obtaining an ID, or no longer have a need for one.
