I'm sorry that I did not respond last night but I could not get on the computer until this morning. I tried to post to my last topic but it is now closed. I know alot of you gave me advice and I guess I did not follow it like I should have. It doesn't make me a bad person. Just maybe a little hard headed. For those of you who slammed me, thanks alot. I came her for advice and I got slammed. Yes, I made mistakes. I am glad for you that you never had made any in your life.
For those of you who have honestly tried to help me, I thank you and I will follow the step by step advice that was posted for me on my other post. I got in way over my head but I have never done saltwater before.
Oh, yea, one last thing, closing my post was rude. I didn't even get a chance to defend myself. Nice job.

Don't feel too bad I had to start my tank over again, I lost about $100 worth of livestock due to a crash... its a slow and costly process, but use what you've learned from your mistakes and you should do fine

Coral, If I am one of the people that you think "slammed" you,I apologize. I tend to think I'm one of the people that woke you up.There are no personalities here. No, not really. Rudeness was not a part of the decision.
It is best to start over than continue on with those threads. Once people get going, it is hard to keep things civil. Not to mention, you hit just about every 'hot' topic that lead more than a few to believe you were not serious, but a troll, designed to work people into a frenzy. Posting a new topic was somewhat of a test, to prove that you were, in fact, a real person with a real problem and a willingness to rectify the situation.
So, you've started over, on a much more positive note, and I think you will/have found that people will help out.

Travis, Start with a couple of good books and read all the threads on this board that seem of interest to you. I find that you can learn alot from the answares found in other reefers posts. Go slow and be patient as this is a hobby that you can have for many years to come so if it takes a year to get up to being able to keep inverts and coral so what. I've had a fish only for 5 years and just started to add corals and turn my tank into a reef. i've even crashed it twice over the last 5 yrs. Once do to my own stupidity and once cause my fist tank started to leak in the seem.

Speaking of starting over.... I'm glad I only have a 10 gal tank right now. - For now.. In Dec I started with CC, an UGF, an airstone, no powerhead, no special lighting, no LR. After all I read here I now have a LS substrate, got rid of the airstone, got rid of the UGF, got a powerhead, 7 lbs of LR, and a 50/50 light, which I might improve soon. The reason I say I'm glad I only have a 10 is because I started with CC, changed to quickrete, but wasn't playsand, and now to LS. Tore it down 3 times in 3 months. Everything survived. Now when I go to a 55 or 75, I'll know a lot more. (skimmer, refugium, etc)...
So thanks to everyone at this site..
