Okay I finally went and treated myself to a new RODI unit. No more carrying 5 gal jugs!

It's a 50 gpd. It's like watching paint dry tho. Do you guys leave these things run all the time or what?

well mine is hooked up to a 3 gallon reservior and faucet spout (its suppose to be for drinking lol). it cuts off when the reservior is full. you should hook up some sort of float switch off on your reservior to keep from overflowing it. mine isn't going directly in my salt mix bin so I have to fill five gallon buckets in the sink and take them to my bin. first 3gallons = 5 minute, last two gallons 3hrs and 45mins. takes mine about 4hrs to do 5 gallons. needless to say I try to keep my 45g bin at least half full ( I only do 5-10g water changes).
