i <3 my neti pot... srsly
for those unfamiliar, it's an ancient practice from india that involves flushing the sinuses and nasal cavity with salt water and a buffering agent, usually sodium bicarbonate.
sounds weird, right?
it's incredibly quick, easy, and painless and leaves me feeling... well, fabulous.... from hellish allergies to just plain moisturizing my intake on a cold dry winter day (like today)

anyone else use one?
discuss
ps- the mockery shall now ensue..

my Mom used to suffer from HORRIBLE chronic sinus infections. Her ENT would do this to her with terrible machines and tubes and invasive procedures - but then we found the neti-kit in CVS and it's MUCH more comfortable than the methods doctors use, and it works JUST as well - her ENT encourages it, and she's had FAR fewer sinus issues since she's started using the thing.
It looks aweful, but it really does amazing things; it's simple irrigation. People with allergies love it too.

and so many people come in wanting the "thing off the Oprah show", which happens to be the neti. IMO the sinus rinse work a lot better and are definitely a lot more manly :)

I thought that was what my grandmother used to water her house plants with. You mean people actually take gardening pitchers and pour the water in their noses? Wouldn't it be easier to submerse your head in the sink and inhale? Plus you don't look foolish.
