Hi everyone,
I just purchased an Ice-Cap 430 VHO Retro Kit for my 30L gallon tank that will slowly become my first Reef tank. Its a 285 watt set-up with three 95 watt bulbs. Should give me some decent light coverage. my questions are;
1. How do the wires actually attach to the endcaps? I didn't see any clips up inside them, or do the wires just push up inside?
2. Do most people mount the ballast and heatsink inside the hood or underneath in the stand? My tank has an Ocea stand and hood that I bought with it.
The endcaps are a German 3 piece VHO set that came with the whole kit.

Oh by the way, this board is absolutly fantastic. I've been gaining a tremendous amount of information through the forums here the past few months. It has certainly put me into the right direction on taking it slow, asking questions and doing your homework before hand.
