Ice Cap 660?

I have a ice cap 660 and three 110 watt 48" VHO bulbs running off it, I was wondering if I could hook up a NO 48" 40 watt to the system? (I would like to put the 48" NO on my alge tank)

Tara - I think you can but you will need to rewire to match the four lamp configuration. You might want to read Sandy Cohen's article in latest FAMA on affordable flourescent lighting and send him an email about mixing bulbs.

it is possible but that is the max rated for an icecap 660. I called the company and they said yes it would work but it might shorten the lifespan of the ballast
