What does it do? i know its a ballast and seen alot of people have them.I have a 48" nova xtreme pro with uvl bulbs.Would work for my setup and if so would i gain anything?

It powers T12 or T5 lights that you can mount directly to a wooden canopy or canopy lid. Some people prefer the furniture look of a wooden canopy.

if u put it in 4 of ur bulbs will be over driven to 82-85w each
