icecap model 660 with ABS Hood Switch???

I just purchased a used icecap model 660, 4x110w with ABS Hood from a lfs. I cannot find a way to turn these light off other than unplug it. There is something look like switch on top of the hood but it does not do anything. Also is there a way to install separate switch for these light? What is the best configuration of the lights. Thanks in advance.

i would recommend going to your local hardware store and buy a timer just plug the ballast in it and it turns on and of by it self

I bought 2 of the smaller icecap ballasts, wired 2 tubes (110 wt ea.) to each ballast, then ran to seperate timers from the hardware store.....this allows me to program different times, actinics come on first, go off last...
If that helps any??
