Icecap or Hellolights

I currently have an Icecap 660 on my 37gal. I plan to upgrade to a 180 soon and need to add more lights. I like the quality of the Icecap ballasts, but wonder if the VHO products from Hellolights is of equal quality? There prices are very good.
Thanks for the input.

I have a VHO and a PC ballast from hellolights and I am happy with both of them. I am not sure if the quality is the same or which one is better but I have never had a problem with mine and I have not heard any complaints from anyone about hellolights.

jond, I've been doing some research on Icecap vs Hellolights. I can't remember the numbers but hellolights electronic ballast takes a considerlably larger amount of watts than a Icecap. I think a 100 watts more.
Email Hellolights and ask them the actual watts the ballast uses on what ever size bulbs you use.

Thanks for the input. Outside of the hellolights including the reflectors, their packages are not a great deal cheaper than Champion anyway.

I beg to differ, Jond. I bought a 46.5", 4-lamp VHO system from HelloLights for $260. That included the ballast, reflector, German endcaps, and 4 URI bulbs...all pre-wired. I'd say that's a great deal less than what I saw from Champion lighting. Good luck with whatever decision you make. Lance.

Jond...Sorry to post this question here, but I did a search concerning aiptasia and ran across a topic you posted some time back about small white spots on your glass with tentacles. I am having the same problem, and I am just wondering if it did indeed turn out to be aiptasia. I you would like to reply, I currently have a topic under Reef Tanks forum titled Aiptasia. Thanks.
