ich in main tank

I know this question has probably been asked at least a million times, but I am going to ask it anyway. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that one of my fish had ich. I quarantined it and it ultimately died. The problem now is that another fish in my tank is showing signs of ich. I am assuming that the entire tank is now infected. I am wondering what is the best way to go about treating the main tank. My hospital tank is not big enough to hold all of the fish, so that option is out. I have 50 lbs of lr in the main tank I need to find out what is the best way to deal with that. If I put the lr in buckets, will there be a lot of die off? Do I need to keep lights on it? I want to do the hyposalinity treatment on the fish and I know that procedure, I just need to know what is the best way to hande the lr.
Thanks for your help!

Why did the fish die in your QT, have you found out? What are the levels in the QT? I would put your LR in your QT if there is room providing the levels are OK. Hypo is what you need to do, but Beth and Terry will be more help when they come online!
All the best,
Tim.
