Ich Provention and cure for reef

Garlic extract mixed with food will not hurt your reef. I HAD THE PROBLEM AND IT WORKED FOR ME. tHAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL WORK WITHOUT KILLING YOUR INVERTS. I LOST 3 FISH BUT THE ICH IS GONE .

How long has it been since you've seen ich on your fish?

New Salt...I am happy for you and your tank that it appears that your problem with Ich is over. There are a few people who feel that garlic can eliminate Ich, but there are more that have tried it, found some relief, only to
find that the Ich recurs in the future. I hope that is not the case with you and your tank.
At some point in the future I hope that there will be scientific studies comparing many of the various products on the market that claim to kill, suppress or eliminate Ich. Until then, I will personally quarantine all new fish/inverts and treat any fish with Ich in a hospital tank with either hyposalinity or copper.

My tank is ich free for over 1 month. I have continued to keep up on vacuuming which is key 2 times a month. You must keep your fish on garlic diet it is good for them. after ich disapears you need to be a clean freak in your tank.

Doesn't really sound like a cure to me, honestly. It's almost like kick-ich, you could get lucky, you might not. It might be a good stop-gap while you're cycling a QT so you can cure it, though.
