ICH question

I asked my local fish store to order a pearly jawfish and they did however when they got it in they told me that it currently has ich and that they are treating the fish with copper. they then said that it sould be a few days and i would be able to buy it. my question is should i buy it? can ich be cured in just a few days? I haven't had ich in my tank before and i really don't want it.

Ich cannot be treated in only a few days. If you do buy him make sure you put him into a qt. He will likely need further treatment. Do NOT just put him into your display, even if you don't see any spots. It is just too risky.
