I just had my first outbreak of ICH, white spots on my hippo tang. He's still acting fine though. My question, is it possible to introduce ich into the tank from a coral? I ask only because I haven't added any new fish to the tank for over 18 months. That seems a little late to just now see it rear its ugly head.
I going to treat with hyposalinity, but needed an opinion. Which is better, removing the corals and inverts and treating the main tank or removing the fish and treating in a quarantine tank. It seems like it would be a lot easier to remove the corals and inverts (they are quite as fast), but I didn't want to mess up my live sand and live rock. Any opinions?
