Ok, I think my yellow tang has ich. He looks like someone took a salt shaker and laid him on a plate and "salted" him. That's ich, right?????
Ok, here is my game plan.
1) go get a 29 gallon tank set up from *****
2) Mix up some fresh saltwater for the 29gallon tank
3) Place all my fish (clowns, damsels, scooter blenny, tang) in this new tank.
4) Do the hypo treatment
5) Let the 80 gallon tank sit for 4 weeks to kill off the parasites (I have 2 crabs, 2 cleaner shrimps, a lot of snails, and a chocolate chip star fish). Assuming these do not carry the parasite.
Question:
Once the hypo treatment is completed, how soon afterwards can I move some of the fish to another tank? I have a 10 gallon tank with lr and polyps that does not have any fish yet, but I could move the smaller clowns to it to help lower the load of the 29 gallon. How soon after hypo can they be safely moved?
Thanks!
