I bought two new clownfish and they both died after 3 days. They appear to have had ich the morning of their deaths. If I'm correct and it was in fact ich, I took them out right away so is their still a possibility that the ich could still be in my tank? There are no other fish in there, just inverts

Yes, there is a definite likelihood of the tank having ich. Leave it without fish for a month.

From what I have researched, it takes a month to get rid of ich in a tank w/out fish. You could do a hyposalinity on the tank to be extra sure, but that's more of a treatment for tanks w/ fish and it *will* kill your inverts, LR and LS. So if you decide to go that route your going to have to figure out what to do with those guys.

I don't mind not getting any fish for a while. I have my inverts in there and I could sit and stare at the tank with just the rocks in there, so I'm cool to wait for a month or so. The second fish died on Sunday, June 25th, so I'll wait about 6 weeks after that and then try again with another fish. I'm going to have the lfs test my water to make sure my tests are accurate too. I'm also thinking about getting some mushrooms in the meantime just for something new and fun. I hear they're really hardy.
