ich time question

Just wondering how fast ich can kill after seeing the first 1 spot.

Beth's thread at the top of this forum has an outline and timeline of the lifecycle of ich.
When my tank crashed with ich a few months ago-I noticed one fish had a few spots and for 8 days it stayed them same-on that 8th day I had 1 fish without any spots die suddenly and another was covered in hours and died. My last death happened the following morning. I was trying to figure out what to do and start up a QT during those 8 days, but I was too late to save them, it is better to act right away.

That's not predicable. In some situations, fish can "live with" mild ich for some time, in others, fish die shortly after contracting the disease. It depends on the health of the fish, and the severity of the infestation.
