Hi everyone,
I posted a week or two ago about a royal gamma that I put into my main tank that got ich, and I could not find him to put into a QT.
Well, after about 5 days, 3 other fish of mine got ich. Having 90lbs of rock and some corals in the tank, I could not get any of the fish out to treat them. I figured worst case would be all 4 fish die, I would wait 8 weeks until I started putting in new fish.
I bough a cleaner shrimp and started adding garlic to the fish food. I have read that the CS and garlic will not kill the ich, but after four days after the CS was added and garlic used, 2 of my fish have no signs, white spots, any more and one other fish that was totally cover in white spots and turning pale, is now 95% clear of whate spots and is getting his color back. My maroon clown never showed any signs of ich.
Am I just lucky or does ich look like it is going away then comes back worse?
All the fish are acting normal, eating well, and do not scratching on rocks any more. I will not add any more fish for a long time, but was just wondering if my ich problem is really going away.
Sorry for the long post, thanks again for all you help
