I have ich on fish in my 55 gal and have a 5 gal take with just salt water in it, no sand, no rocks, no nothing but water. I don't think I could put the fish in it to help them because its to small. My 55 gal tank has live rock, soft and hard coral, anomones, shrimp, crabs, snails, and other fish. What can I do to cure this with out hurting my reef? I'm new at salt water.
Thanks Steve

The only thing you can do wo removing your fish and placing them in a hospital tank, if feed them garlic soaked food and hope for the best.
The better thing to do is get a larger tank for a hospital. The setup for a hospital tank does not have to be a wallet buster. You can do it with tank, Powerhead a cheap filter and PVC for decor.

You can, but believe that a rubber container is stressful for fish.

I went and got a 20 gal from a friend and set it up. Just waiting for the temp to get higher to check every thing out. How fast should I drop the salinaty? And by doing what adding more fresh water because I only filled the 20 gal a little more than 3/4 of the way. The salinaty is at 1.021 right now and my main tank is at 1.022. Is that difference to much?
So many questions, so little time.
