Ick on My Tang!

I recently got a hippo tang (regal)after reading what a gental fish it was. Not until I got it home did I read that it was so pron to ich outbreaks! Anyway, I have had the fish for 2 weeks and all was well, but now I see that he has small little ichs all over him. I have set up a hospital tank in a bare 29 gallon. My question is should I use cooper or the Hypo method I have read so much about? What is the lowest salinity that you should allow your water to get to? What if you read your hydrometer wrong and it goes down to 1.008 or 7... is this a risk for your fish? Also, should I treat just the Hippo Tang or all of my fish? He is the only one that a noticable case.
Thanks in advance for your advise.

Hyposalinity is the best treatment for ick. Althought copper and hypo will both do the job of treating ick effectively, hyposalinity will do with out exposing your fish to toxic substance [like copper].
If you drop the specific gravity [salinity] a bit lower then 1.009, that will be fine. But you must drop to at least 1.009. This is essential.
Yes, you will need to treat all your fish. Sorry.
