Ick Question

I was told at my local fish store that, there is alway going to be the paracites that cause Ick in your tank. They are very difficult to keep out of the tank. The fish are able to fight off these paracites, but during stress period, they may not, thus causing Ick.
I have one Powder Blue Tang in my tank, that has Ick. He got it maybe 2 days after buying him - I have now put him in a QT. The other fish in the main tank are fine, does that mean however, that there is still Ick in my main tank, but these fish are able to fight it off ?
The question is, who brought the Ick, and why is it only the Blue Tang that got it.
I'm I completely wrong on this subject. Please advice.

Most likely there is Ich in your main tank. The only way to eliminate Ich from you tank is to remove all of your fish for at least 4 weeks.
I'm currently 3 weeks without fish in my display, I've learned the hard way to QT fish before introducing theem into my main tank.
