I HAVE A 130G REEF TANK AND HAVE HAD SOME ICK PROBLEMS OF LATE. I HAVE A 20G HOSPITAL TANK BUT WITH 120 LBS OF LIVE ROCK I CAN'T ALWAYS CATCH THE FISH . I'V TRIED TREATING THE TANK WITH ORGANICS WITH NO LUCK- I'VE HAD SOME SUCESS WITH KICK ICK IN MY 20G. I JUST GOT A DIATOM FILTER WHICH IS SUPPOSE TO REMOVE IT- HAS ANY ONE USED ONE? WITH WHAT RESULT? IT'S RUNNING NOW- MY WATER IS CRYSTAL CLEAR - SO FAR NO ICK ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE GREAT THANKS CLOWNPUFFER

I could be wrong, but any filter on a reef that makes the water crystal clear, will also be removing the stuff in the water that corals feed off of. I couldn't imagine it being selective, and therefore it couldn't be a good thing to remove all the nutrients/organics from the tank.

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE. I AM ONLY USING THE DIATOM FILTER 3-4 DAYS AT A TIME. I REMOVED IT 3 DAYS AGO AND SO FAR SO GOOD:) :)
